One time I left a bill on the kitchen table showing how much I paid for repairs, track support and tires. My wife almost saw it. That has been my scariest moment so far.

From Mosport this year. Please excuse the language at the end, but this was Sprint 2. Sprint 1 the exact same thing happened at the same spot - but far less dramatic, thankfully.

Hey, that's me in there.

So, did you figure out what happened?

After the first one we thought it was something rubbing the tire on the inside. After the 2nd one we found that the corner balancing was off due to a bad damper.

1) Almost running into the back of the field coming off the banking at Daytona at night (couldn't see ahead off the banking) after a wave-around at full-speed in 2011...
2) Right rear tire blow out on the banking at Daytona in 2016, at full speed, in the rain, at night. radio comms: "think i have a blow out, boxing this lap!", "are you sure?!", "pretty g*d d*mn f*king sure!!!". Then I got yelled at for overshooting the pit box by 1ft while on 3 wheels.. lol!
3) Fuel overfill and having the gravity fed nozzle spill out all over the front of the car and it leak in through the vents during a hot pit stop at night at Daytona in 2012 and watching everyone on the pit wall run away...

Strangely all my scariest moments come from Daytona....

Vette loses it on first turn after green flag. My best option was to keep my foot in it and try to escape the carnage that ensued. He hit my rear wheel, bending it and knocked my diff cover off but I was pretty lucky not to be involved in the pile up. Three race cars lost.
