My wife never bought a car mag or had any interest when we met. Mine was a real grassroots development effort. Now I've created a monster. It CAN be done.

Just got my wife a 2011 Honda Shadow Phantom for her birthday (her family is big into motorcycles) as a starter bike. It was a psychological warfare investment that I hope will pay off haha.

We are both very lucky. She's a keeper.

Mine is too. Always supportive, only asked once in ten years "just what are you spending on this?" Response to the possibility of buying Dave's race car and trailer was "DO IT!"

I'll never forget the time I bought a new projector for the family room. Bought it very early in the morning from Amazon. Wife gets up and asks "what's going on?" "Bought a new projector." "How much?" "$700." "Oh, so about the same as a set of tires". I was both proud and concerned at the same time.

Man, on top of that, both of them can cook.

Some good ones in here

Most of my big "oh crap" moments were before the GoPro was invented. I've got some Lemons footage tho...

Best one of me driving (didn't see the waving yellow until almost too late... my biggest peeve with Lemons is some people SLAM on the brakes at a yellow):

This one is classic "Lemons"... friend and teammate driving:

This one is a collection from the whole team and one event... good one at 2:05

Speaking of wives, I’m engaged to be married. Date set next year (July 2019). I wasn’t previously aware, but there is a tradition (at least in my circle) that the bride’s family buys a watch for the groom. Since I already have a watch, my fiance is on board with buying me a track car. Nothing crazy. Maybe a used Nissan 370Z or 987.2, but the point is she’s on board and thinks it would be a better investment for me than a watch.

2007 Targa Newfoundland
Day 1. After what can only be described as a horrible experience up to this point (issues with transportation to Newfoundland), this happened.
Yes...flipped "tail over nose"...We were both OK, car...not so much. But hey, they did show it on Speed Channel that year! So there is that...

glad you were both OK. Big shunt. Accidents like this are why I stick to circuits.

Hey guys, first time posting here. I think the scariest moment I've had in a race car was having the throttle on a Datsun jam open at COTA going into a braking zone. Not fun when you're 10 feet behind the guy in front of you 120mph. A pretty wild ride ensued and the car ended up without any damage. Amazing no one in the pack got tangled up and there were easily 8 cars in the pack!
