My first ever debris flag was that guy in turn 5, just sitting there on his haunches at the apex for about 3 laps. I *think* Manifold was with me.

I'm going after the 1:12's this year. Maybe an 11. I've got way more than Pro Coach's 150 hp to make it happen though.

Can't wait.

That is awesome news. I have never seen a deer out on track (luckily) but I did come extremely close to hitting a deer a few years back only a couple hundred yards from the main entrance!

Chris White is nothing short of the MAN! Ever since he's taken on the track management there have been loads of improvements. New owner with enthusiasm and cash is good for all of us.

Agreed. Been going since the mid-80’s and love that place. Now, even more!

Check out the Jack Baldwin podcast interview on Dinner With Racers. He talks about going airborne during a Trans Am race at Summit Point and flying out of the track in a rainstorm, so far that no one knew where he went. There were no skid marks and the car went through the tops of trees. He landed on a country road and walked back onto the property about 15 minutes later with a concussion.

Hands down that beats my story of taking the escape route at turn 1 when I lost most of my gears and limping back through all the other areas of Summit Point. Team didn't know where I was until I rolled into the paddock.

I've taken the escape at turn 3 and had to park in a couple of places but I've never had to take that route.

+ 1 on Chris and the new owners. Things are definitely going in the right direction, I hope that track is around for a long time to come.
