Selling a Porsche race car

So I have it on good authority that the base Boxster was available with the S brakes and 6 speed as an option when ordering. Can anyone confirm this? Otherwise I will switch it back to 5 speed and base brakes. Same price. (I'll use this trans in the V8 car!)

No cars in Prepared G, plus the 2.7L motor won't be a hot set-up. Would likely make a nice F car with mods to get it back squarely in class. Alternative might be to think about it for AER?

It doesn’t generally matter what options were theoretically available, it’s where this prticular car would be classed in PCA stock classes (there is some general relationship between the two). This is an attempt to weed out unicorns that would make racing more expensive for everybody. Contact Walt Fricke the PCA Rules coordinator. I just sent you his contact info via PM. At the end of the day, it’s up to the rules in effect when a logbook is issued. Happy to help further if you have any questions.

John. Sam Mammano used to run a Boxster in F and now he has a G car. I'm sure he knows the rules very well.

I just sold a car on Racing Junk using one of the free ads with the single picture. It was my first time selling anything on the site. I also had a ton of good pictures, video, and specs ready to send out. I had 3 interested buyers and sealed the deal within a couple of days of posting the ad. Very pleased with how it worked out.

You might also look into NASA and SCCA classing options. NASA has GTS and ST P/W classes that this could run in, although I don’t know where it would be competitive. Might give you more options to get a good price on the car.
The Colorado guys like ex-spec Boxsters for endurance racing.
