Our budget back in the '70s, seems ridiculously low in comparison with racing today, except when you adjust for inflation. IMSA entry fees were around $300 and our ex Gregg 911 was $15,000, that's about $1,800 and $92,000 today, so racing wasn't inexpensive. However Stuttgart46 is correct, the return on investment was good, since we got to race against very talented "big boy" drivers and co drive with a few as well.
