At least we can look forward to Penske Honda and Joest Mazda in IMSA prototypes next year. Wonder where all of the these Porsche and Mercedes factory drivers are going to end up. Not enough cars in Formula E to support them.

LMP1 was nice while it lasted.
Perhaps now Porsche can focus more on the RSR program for LeMans which wouldnt be a bad thing.

Formula E could turn out to be something half decent with all the factories jumping on board.
Not a bad place to try and develop electric technology.

Probably a wise move by Porsche to make a move to electric car technology in racing.

Personally I find it disappointing though. I like noise to come from racecars (electric whine does not count). I guess I'm an old-timer. I guess that is what vintage racing will be for at some point, possibly in the not too distant future.
