Technically the SPB is at fault but the 944's driving was a big contributing factor. His move from left to right, while not a chop, was fairly abrupt and probably unnecessary given his slow pace. Is a 944 really that traction limited that it requires tracking all the way out track left and then cutting all the way across to track right in that space? Yes, the SPB was not being pressured and should've picked a less risky place to pass in this situation but I shudder to think what the outcome of the 944's driving would've been if a normal freight-train of nose to tail SPB's had encountered him in the same way.
Multi-class racing with significantly different closing speeds requires awareness by both the faster AND the slower car, whether it be pro, pro/am, or club level. SPB gets the 13 but I sure hope the stewards talked to the 944 about his driving as well.

The white Porsche 944 is at fault. Had plenty of time to see the 2 cars coming up on him knowing full well that he is that much slower. The white Porsche car simply was not looking in his mirrors, and was not paying attention and acted as a rookie would on a track day, and just continued on without considering who was around him and about to pass him on the outside. If this was a DE I could understand, and would fault the orange car for not being more careful, however this was a race. Simple..
