The GT3 RS in orange looks quite a bit like the 918. In orange.

I think he means a 918 painted in 997 GT3 RS orange color. Perhaps a poor choice of words and punctuation?

I don't believe that is 'RS Orange'...
It might possibly be 'Signal Yellow'. The latter dues have a 'orange' tint in the hue that often can be captured via camera lenses to give the appearance of that color. This is particularly noticeable with the expensive camera lenses used by professional photographers in shots like the one above! Last Friday I (with my expensive Sony camera) took photos of the 'Signal Yellow' 911 Turbo at the 'Porsche Exclusive' showroom at Zuffenhausen. This is 'Signal Yellow / Signalgelb', color code 114. You can see a bit of what I mean about the special transformative quality of 'Signal Yellow' in this particular shot:
And the 918 above could also be done 'Pastel Orange' since that is a very 'bright' color, although I personally doubt it. 'Pastel' doesn't photograph normally as you see it on that 918 in the OP's photo!
It probably best if someone here at Rennlist that knows the owner of this 918 to please confirm the exact PTS color & code selected for this Spyder. Thanks.

Three things I know about 'RS Orange':
1) It photographs quite steady...it doesn't change colors on the shape as the light hits various angles. This is what happens with 'Signal Yellow', but not usually with 'RS Orange'. By chance, I just photographed this 'RS Orange' .1 997 gt3 RS at 'Porsche Zentrum Bensberg' near Cologne just a few hours ago:
The camera (my particular one) makes the color look darker than it looks to the human eye in person. 'RS Orange' is a soft, yet distinctive & forceful 'orange'. The shot above doesn't do it justice!
2) 'RS Orange' was discontinued for technical reasons after MY2010. It was formulated as a 'special color' for .1 997 gt3 RS and was also used on two Limited Edition 987s - a Boxster & Cayman. I last saw it used on a PTS gt3 back in MY2010. Starting with MY2011, 'Porsche Exclusive' pushed anyone wanting an 'orange' color into 'Pastel Orange', Z17. Although PAG treats 918 customers very special - for example they allowed certain 'blocked colors' from former Limited Editions to be used for some VIP orders - I don't believe 'RS Orange' has been permitted to be used on even the 918 due to technical issues with the color...not exclusivity.
3) 'RS Orange' is one of the most beautiful colors Porsche has ever done. I absolutely love it. And seeing it again just a few hours ago reaffirmed my commitment to this color as one of the finest they have formulated! The next best oranges, in my opinion, is 'Signal Orange' and 'Continental Orange'. 'Signal Orange' has not yet been tested for feasibility on the 991 or 981. 'Continental Orange' was studied...and it failed.

I believe this is the same car delivered at Circle Porsche back in Nov. If it is, it is a PTS to match the owners Enzo, which is the only Enzo painted that color. I was there when the car was delivered to the owner, and it is stunning in that color.

This is not the cali car, it is NY based and that is the name of the PTS color ordered from Porsche off their approved PTS list for the 918 buyers
