Technically, that is not PTS 'Lime Green'. More likely it's either 'Lichtgrün'/Birch Green', color code 253:

or 'Acid Green' (if the later was ever approved as a unique PTS 918 color).

Melissa Witek ('Porsche Exclusive' / PCNA) originally informed me at the first Thermal Club event in November of 2013 that a customer had requested a 918 in 'Acid Green'. As of our next conversation on the subject in June of 2014 at Sonoma Raceway's 918 dog & pony show, the color 'Acid Green' had not yet been officially approved by PAG. She speculated that PAG might use 'Lichtgrün/Birch Green', color code 253, for those that requested 'Acid Green' since the colors are pretty damn close!

The Ticino Italo-Swiss 918 that is the subject of this thread is not the first 918 done in this color, which indeed is in the family of 'Lime Green'*, although that is not is official name:

We have seen quite a few so far.

Miami

NJ

France

The last PTS approved list that I know of is dated 2/25/2015 for the 991/981/Panamera models. I have yet to see anyone show us a separate PTS approved list just for the 918...although I would not doubt it exists somewhere!

If Porsche won't let you change the caliper color to match your car, then why not change your car to match your calipers

Thanks. I know that Arrow Blue is an approved 918 colour, but won't see it for a couple of weeks :-)

Michael: If you know the owner, can you verify for us the official name and color code for the PTS color of his 918 Spyder? Thanks.

I believe the one is France is officially "Acid Green". Here is a close picture from the rear logo, and the 918 Spyder Acid Green lettering blends in quite good with the body paint.

Also note the car has the Weissach package even though it's on standard wheels.
