Not that the weave showing is a problem anyway, any F40 owner will tell you that if you can't see the weave on an F40's bonnet, it serves to indicate the paint's probably not original or it's been wet sanded and polished to remove it.
I drove the 964 Turbo S Leicthbau this weekend and on clean-up I noticed - once again - the composite/paint decisions that Porsche made, early 1990's style (the car's build date is December 1992 if I remember correctly). See top of photo, I really like the look. Amazing build quality on the Leichtbau, not a single cosmetic or mechanical issue during my ownership. Not the same experience with newer Porsches, wrt build quality, unfortunately.

I viewed a black 3.3 Turbo S Leichtbau in the UK in 2003-4 and the bonnet was showing all the weave through the paintwork I'd just sold my 964 RS for £26,000 ($32,000 USD) and was looking for a replacement, the 3.3 Leichtbau was for sale for £50,000 ($61,000 USD) I couldn't see the additional value in the Turbocharged car, so I bought another lower miles 964 RS ... I subsequently sold it to a friend who still owns it top this day. It's probably worth £185,000 ($227,000 USD) whereas the 3.3 Turbo S Leichtbau is probably worth what $750,000 USD ?
The 3.3S Leichtbau is one real special car. The RS body-in-white paired with a turbo engine has to be driven to be believed.
I owned a 3.6 Turbo at the time and didn't believe the hype. Was given the keys to a very well-kept 3.3S for a weekend and then the light switched on in my head.
That said I'm not a fan of old turbos, and ultimately settled on a RS 3.8 for the 964 generation. But those who are not as particular should absolutely try one of the 80-odd available cars...
As to price--I don't think anyone will sell you theirs for less than 7 digits.
