Just wanted to give an update on CGT prices. About 2 months ago I sold my dads 2005 Guards Red CGT, 5,077 miles, aftermarket exhaust (had factory to go with), original luggage, last major in 2010 for $685,000.

Nice! Sounds like prices have gone up again. Makes me feel good about my purchase two years ago (Basalt Black, the rarest of the standard colors).

Cats CGT went fast.

I still can't believe for the life of me that they can be bought for so little...it's mind boggling...yes it's a lot of money...but the value is off the charts in comparison with so many other cars out there.

Agree but some like the F40 have dropped while CGT has held and or increased.

The F40 has dropped but it also sky rocketed way higher than the CGT so even settling down it's still high in comparison and I'd way rather have a CGT

Would like both.

Typical vintage Ferrari - goes up based on a few boys being boys at an auction.

F40 not nearly as fun or thrilling to drive as CGT.

Is a better comparison as far as the intention and engineering of the car an F50 ?

Gotta say my all time fave Ferrari is the F40.
I worry about owning a GT because of the widowmaker tag.
I have a 996GT2 with the same tag and have to say its deserved.
Wish these cars had a defeatable "idiot" mode.

Yes plus it's a roadster but those day$ have come and gone the F40 is one of those timeless rides.

Widow maker - if someone drives / maintains their CGT it's predictable na power balanced but those who don't idiot mode is not if but when.

The new tires Michelin has developed for the CGT has improved handling somewhat.
