I'm still standing on the sidelines and was looking forward to this past weekend to see actual selling prices on 3 CGT's. The prices posted below were before commisions:

Russo Steele
black 2005 ~5700 miles@ $710k

Mecum
Yellow 2005 ~260 miles $1 million after block ($950k on block)
Silver 2005 ~1500 miles $775k

The Black car sold at the same auction company June 2015 for 763,636 plus a 10% commission, or $800k plus a 5% commision to come up with the $840k sales price with commision.

Same car 2 months later sells for $710k plus 10% commision for a total of $781k.

The other 2 CGT's also sold for less than asking. I would say these were 3 great examples to gauge the market right now for CGT's. $1mil get you a wrapper CGT in a color other than silver / gray. $700k range for under 6k mile CGT's.

Based on this current data point without commissions, most of the CGT's currently for sale are $100k - $200k+ overpriced.

very accurate and consistent info with he 5 or 6 I have seen sell over the past 2-3 months . extremely strong prices for very wonderful cars. simply more realistic prices than all the people claiming over the past few months that their cousin, dog or cat have been selling cars left and right for 1mln +...

thats too bad the owner of the black car had to buy and sell both at auction creating a $201k, or 24% loss in just a few months... the auction fees really take a bite when using a auction (or a dealer) for both the in and out... would of been better if he could of found a private party deal here on the board....

I don't think most people in this forum would be willing to part away with their CGTs regardless of the price. IMO, most of us bought our cars because they are so attractive and offer an unmatched driving experience (the sound, the feel, the power and no stupid paddles) but after owning them, we have fallen in love with them so much that we are not willing to part away with them. I picked mine up from service yesterday. There was a crowd around my car while there was a 918 and a GT3RS very close by. I started the car and everyone had a smile on their faces. I drove it home recklessly and I had a huge smile on my face. I say that experience is worth $1 Billion. If you can get one for $700K, do not hesitate and good luck with it.

FYI.... My red one is a keeper. No amount of money will convince me to sell it. I have a 5 year old who has claimed ownership to it after all.

I think you might be missing my point. If you are an enthusiast like you are or others you mention than these are great cars. If you have decided to get one then get the best one you can within the general context of the market.700,750,800,850, 890 whatever it is. If you will be keeping for a long time always best to pay a little more and get the best one you can. All I am saying is I have seen many people on here trying to convince other members that these are currently 1mln + cars all day long and headed straight to the moon with no looking back. My concern is not for a real enthusiast who pays 50k too much as who cares in the long run, my concern if for the people believing this hype and going and paying 950k tomorrow with the intention of flipping it in 6 months for some much larger amount. I think they might be disappointed and would be better served to pay attention to the math of the gentleman who just sold the black car who lost 200k since June after fees. The reality is that many of he people causing the $1mln + hype on here are dealers/brokers or people with ulterior motives....

What they will be worth in 2,3,4 years, I have no clue maybe they will be worth 2million for all I know maybe more.

Thats all, just trying to save people some grief who might be listening to some if the misleading dealers and getting convinced there is some short term easy money here, not in any way trying to talk down the value of these incredible machines...

Hope that clarifies things.

550 B is absolutely beautiful. Good luck with yours. Now, go sell your Speciale' and get a CGT already. You will then contract the same decease everyone else on this board has and think your car is worth $1mm+

had a CGT sold it when they were only 400k not because of prices I always thought they were way undervalued compared to enzos etc, sold it because I just did not have the type of good roads around the area I live to really enjoy it... not to mention mine had straight pipes and in a quiet area where I live it was not the best for staying under the radar....

hopefully all you owners are really enjoying your cars and driving them..
