The same could be said, but it's "more true" of the CGT. The difference between slip and grip is much smaller on the CGT. The same chassis setup that gives it that absolutely divine handling at 8/10 is what makes it a handful at 10/10th. Compared to other supercars that start to understeer at 8.1/10, giving the driver lots of clue that they are approaching the limit.

The CGT is so capable and it asks you to use it fully. It's wonderful. But if you haven't driven it to the limit you won't understand where it is because it doesnt communicate in the same way as almost every other road car out there.

Someone should put together a CGT autocross session so folks can take the car to the limit at slow speeds in a safe environment. Last weekend there were 5 CGTs at motors4toys so I'm sure a quorum could be put together.

the madness has begun. for sale cars are starting to flood. this usually would be accompanied by a downturn in prices, but it's the opposite. asking prices are 50k+ above 1 week ago.

It communicates more and better "than almost any other car out there" and yes the same way . Understeer , oversteer etc are communicated and dealt with EXACTLY the same as in every other car .

My only fear of the CGT is that I will never own one.

Hopefully all this hysteria will depreciate the car enough (may be low 100's) where it's bit more palatable for some of us

I hate to hear about the deaths. It's a bummer.
Hopefully street racers, f and f fans, their groupies, and the media will look in the mirror instead of blaming manufacturers. Irony could not be thicker. Perhaps they will stop, think, and take something good from this.

The cgt will gain a similar legend, not unlike the 550.

That's not true at all. Pick up a book on vehicle dynamics to start to understand this. Sorry but I don't know of an approachable one.

Or go for the same drive in an SUV then your sports car to feel the difference. Pay attention to how the cars tell you about the limit, not the fact that they are different.

Detroit is bankrupt and is going to keep this in the news as long as possible. Detroit thrived when it was making muscle cars.
