Default Ruf front axle lift. How does it work?

Anyone have, seen up close, or just know how the Ruf front axle lift works?

I've seen one in operation, but don't know for sure if the OE springs are replaces with shorter ones and a hydraulic collar, or if the system leaves the OE susp intact and acts 'on' the susp when required?

Thanks to anyone in the know!!!

Cheers

Pete

Ruf Dallas added one of these several years ago. I got to see the job in various states of completion and IIRC (and that's a BIG IF) the Ruf system uses the OE suspension. Seemed to work really well.
