Favorite Porsche... beautiful.

 

Only ever seen 1 Carrera GT and I'll never forget it b/c the guy downshifted it into 2nd at about 65mph and the sound was amazing.

Can't believe the car is 10 years old.

 

I saw an early car in Leipzig in 2003 and the sound that one made, was even crazier than I have experienced later. As I saw it before the market launch, I guess it was a prototype. It sounded like Formula 1. I happened to see when the cooling system blow up at acceleration and the F1 sound was complemented by huge cloud of vapour so heavy that the car couldn't be seen for a second.

Porsche Museum will have a 10 Year celebration of the CGT. And before that, a 50 Year celebration of 911.

Carrera GT = best Porsche ever. Time will tell where it will rank in the future..but I guess prices in 10 years will be at least 50% more..we shall see....

Yes..lets us know how it turns out. This car itches me also a lot..the problem is there are too many itchey for my bank account..it can only take one itch at a time..we shall see. But one thing is for sure..one day I need/want one too..

What a marvellous machine the C-GT is...

 

I've been thinking about it for a while... I think it's one of those things you have to do if and when you can... it has everything about Porsches I like and none of the things about other exotics I dislike...

I'm slowly pulling together the car collection I hope to be buried with...
