Default Scottsdale Ferrari CGT

Does anyone know the silver/brown car at this dealer?

Can anyone comment on the dealers reputation?

I like the dealership, and they are our local Ferrari Dealer. I actually looked at the car your talking about, It has a little wear on the drivers seat, but all in all it looks perrty good for a 10K mile car. I was told the clutch was at 28.? and I think it might be due for one soon. Take the time and come see the car, but for the right price it will be a great CGT.

Thanks Dan, I looked at the car in person yesterday and will be taking a second look today. It makes me a little nervous when I see a car come out of Florida (or Texas), because of the title wash laws there. It looks like a nice car however.

I met you briefly at a car show off Raintree Dr. I was driving my gray 16M.

Cheers

saw the car over the weekend at barrett, Looked pretty beat up to me, chips on the lower front end (paint not plastic valance) inside the hood the lining and all of the foam bumpers were loose. paint flaws on the tail. In the engine compartment it hadn't been detailed and was missing one of the air intake upper trim pieces.

Missing the luggage, drivers seat, and the leather in general was just not in great condition.
Did love the carbon center console though. just my 2 cents.

Dilemma: Scottsdale Porsche no longer performs PPI's. They will however inspect whatever I ask of them. Here is what I'm thinking of having them look at, if anyone has additional ideas, I'd like to hear.

Clutch condition

Over rev history

Brakes

Signs of body / paint work

Signs of any fluid leaks

Battery check

And of course service records, which the dealer should provide me.

Yes, I remember. You were looking at a red CS. Did you ever buy one?

Many dealers won't perform an inspection for paint or body work. Too much risk if they miss someone's excellent job, etc. It's not necessarily a black and white issue like mechanical condition that can be measured. If PNS won't do PPIs, I doubt they'll want to comment on paintwork, just in case.

The rest of the list, combined with your own visual inspection, should tell you if it's a car you want (or not). Good luck and keep us posted!

Recently I drove a friend's CS, and afterwords decided it was a car I could live without. The 16M has spoiled me with the open top, close to 100 more hp, and a transmission that is lightning fast and gives a solid kick to your backside with every upshift.
