hey everyone- I've been driving the hell out of the CGT so haven't been on RL for about 5 weeks. up to 2500+ miles on it and just got the major inspection before the warranty ran out...things are good!
driving stories...VERY FUN ON THE TRACK! Only drove it twice at MSR here- don't want to make a habit (that's why I've got an Mx5 cup and a spbox)...lots of drifty stuff with the power down (TCS off) but the tires really are terrible and severely limit the cars potential in regards to braking and throttle transitions. good thing is that the suspension is amazing and allows you to drive it like they teach at open wheel racing schools. the car is so long that the polar moment of intertia is much more manageable than a formula mazda, etc and is therefore slower to rotate. I can't really compare it to a GT3 under the same conditions, because the rear of a GT3 has more of the cars grip.
driven in the rain a few times...not fun on the freeway but the car makes a great platform for wet skidpad skills on flat concrete (like the 500ft in every direction parking lot I call a driveway)
the funny thing is that you can get used to a supercar. whoda thunk it

Glad someone else agrees with me! I think the Michelin PS2's are rubbish!
I wish we could get some Pirelli's in the right size!

Brian,
I've been off the radar for a while, work has been crazy and when I'm not working, all my time is spent with the kids...let's try to hook up in the near future before the holidays..dinner, basketball, hockey, something..or a CGT day with Fernando and I'll tag along in my GT3..I've earned a kitchen pass..

Great to hear from you. CGT day sounds pretty tasty. Maybe some runs through the tunnel again? We'll have to corral Fernando and pin him down.
