Default Crash CGT for movie purposes

Hey guys, this will hurt but according to this ebay add, some movie producer was stupid enough to crash a CGT for a movie....... Or so they say!! But they were bright enough to remove the motor and tranny before the crash.... I guess the CF tub ain't worth sh..

You don't know the movie "Redline"? If not: you don't have to watch, not a good one.

They crashed two CGTs for the movie, this one badly and another one for some other shots. At least the other car was damaged before they bought it and they only rebuilt the parts which were visible in the movie.

Marketing - crashing a replica doesn't make the front page.

During the premier, Eddie Griffith crashed a Ferrari Enzo in an autocross type event sponsored by the movie. They just happened to have a camera crew behind the wall he hit. Another front page story for the movie.

Doesn't make any sense, why would they remove the engine/tranny before the crash? Sounds to me it was crashed so hard it fell out... But we don't want to say that, then people might suspect the block could be cracked

It makes perfect sense and is quite common to remove the drivetrain & gas tank (anything that holds hazardous fluids) before the crash.

My first thoughts were about Redline. Oh what a waste of time!

I tried to buy it and even sent a 1,000 deposit as a backup engine and trans. for my car but the guy backed out of our agreement.
