Default Carrera GT Wanted

Having just bought a Carrera GT in the USA (along with a friend who has also bought one!) a third friend now wants one!

Ideal would be silver with dark grey for around the $300k USD mark. Private car is ok providing the vendor would take it to a Porsche Centre for an inspection.

Please e-mail me j.chester@redbourn.com if you hear of a car that may fit the bill.

Thanks

They have another one there on consignment but it is at list price.

If you decide to go with that car and don't want the XT seats let me know. I have the standard seats and wouldn't mind swapping for the XT seats if you would rather have the standard seats.

The XT seats are wider, it was a no cost option if you ordered the car new but since I bought an existing car I didn't get the choice.

The standard seats are a little too narrow at my shoulder blades, the rest of the seat fits fine but on long rides my back starts hurting a little becuase I can't push myself completely back in the seat.

The Marsman, how many miles has your car done/what condition are the seats?

The reason I ask is that my friend who has bought one of the CGT's from Champion has the XT seats and he would prefer the regular seats. A swap could be an option and the cars are still in the US at the moment until some warranty issues are cleared up.

Drop me a mail j.chester@redbourn.com to discuss.

The Silver with grey car at Stevens Creek has sold, thanks for the heads up.

Wow, this sounds great! My seats are also it great shape, I have 5,700 miles on my car. I am in Michigan so I am pretty close to New York. My car is also the Dark Grey so we have exactly the same color seats. I just emailed RS Clubsport. I can have the seats taken out and get them shipped out tomorrow.

Themarsman, no e-mail from you as yet? Spoke to Paul (Bergmeister) and he is keen to do a swap with your seats.

There is a slate/black CGT in WI. Unlisted to date, private party. PM if interested and I'll pass it along.

Hi Marsman
Not sure if you have contacted rsclubsport or not yet.
If you can send me a email re the seats,i can then get a forwarding address for you,the seats can then be changed over at the porsche dealership asap if you still want to cahnge them over.
We are very keen to try and get our cars home for xmas,so they will be moving fast, once the service and traction control light is sorted by end of the week etc.
Getting the need for another fix in the cgt!asap.

I just responded to an email that John sent me and also sent it to your address, if you don't get it give me a call on the number that I PM'd you.

I am willing to have the seats taken out today and have someone drive them out to the dealer to be installed on Monday so everything should work out with the swap before the car gets shipped. If you could let me know the dealer that has the car currently I can give them a call and coordinate the swap.

Thanks,
John

Did you receive my email or PM? I don't want to pull the seats out of my car if you are not going to want to swap. I need to know quickly if I am going to plan everything.

Please respond as soon as you can.

or

PAUL HOWELLS

and mine is j.chester@redbourn.com

He's 100% up for doing this. I've just re-sent you the e-mail.
