My guy is at the dealership as I type this and it seems that both of your cars have the normal seats and are not the XT seats. He is working with a Serivice tech to pull up the cars and look at the options now.

Who told you that Paul's car had the XT Seats?

Hi Marsman, it's on the spec. sheet for the car and they feld substantially wider than the seats in my car.

Here's a link to the advert, it clearly states the large seats are fitted.

Apparantly what has happened was that my car had its seats switched to the XT seats at some time before I took ownership and wasn't in the original build.

It also seems that there is only a difference in the lower seat portion and not in the shoulder area so there is little or no difference between the standard and XT seats for my concern.

There is no reason to swap seats since they are both the XT seats it would just be a waste of time.

I am sorry for any confusion that has came up with potential exchange but I enjoyed talking to both of you. I am also sorry that I can't help out Paul by getting him the normal width seats.

Take care,
John

netburner, looking forward to giving the GT's some proper excercise at Spa and the 'ring!

I'm still looking for another GT (mine and Bergmeister's are nearly through the oil change/warranty updates at the Porsche Dealer in New York and should be leaving the US early next week.)

So if anyone knows of a low $300's CGT in the US let me know!

Should it be a US-version? I know around 5 cars here in Germany, which are for sale. Have to check the prices and mileages, but one of them is an ex-rennlist-car from the US in GT-Silver with red interior (maybe the only one in that combination).

Doesn't matter whether it's US or European spec. provided the price is right. I can't imagine getting one in Europe for close to US prices taking into account the £GBP/$USD exchange at the moment.

Got your point, all cars I know in Germany are way much expensive. You are looking for a car around 170-180k pounds?
