Default Brake Servo Fault

My Carrera GT has a brake servo fault come up every time I start the car. It began after about 400 miles on the car. I called my local dealer and he said it is a standard issue when you don't drive the car enough and there is nothing to worry about. Seems strange to me. I don't get to drive the car much I have a lot of old cars that need to be driven.

So I'm trying to figure out your id name - Big M Boy. You are in LJ, and maybe the Big M means McDonalds? Like you own a few mcdonalds?

It's normal; don't worry about it. I think it has something to do with no hydraulic or pneumatic pressure on startup, but it goes away after a few seconds.

Your dealer is exactly right.

I don't drive my Carrera GT every day, either.

Every time I start it after a few days "rest", the brake servo warning light comes on until the system pressure stabilizes. Apparently the servo pressure slowly leaks away after a few days in the garage.

No problem of any kind. Just a quaint quirk.

Is your CGT seal grey/silver? I was in my 430 Spider and a couple of days ago I saw a CGT headed east on Ardath with the top on. I was headed west on Ardath with the top down of course.

ya its seal grey maybe the only one of its color in san diego, how do you like your 430? I'm glad the brake servo thing is not that big of an issue.

I love the 430. I have driven the CGt a few times and certainly the 430 is not in the same league from a performance standpoint as the CGT. However I find the 430 a lot more fun to drive. For my mediocre driving skills, the CGt is too much car. Had they equipped it with a F1 transmission and PSM, I probably would have bought the car. Some would say had Porsche done that then it wouldn't be a CGT.
