New C-GT Price

Ben,
Try and sell back to the dealer and see what he will offer you for it, in fact he probably won't even want to touch it (unless it's on consignment). Then we'll see if $360K is crap!

ultimately, colm, you are correct. when you buy a car, you always have to ask yourself, what will it be worth if i have an emergency tomorrow, and have to sell it back to the dealer? i am not saying that we all will not suffer depreciation, i am just saying that we shouldn't fool ourselves, because, this is what the car is really worth.

Do you have any idea what the spread was between parts and labor for that $150k repair bill?

While the CGT is selling below MSRP, the $150k damage CGT sold for $391. Kind of feel sorry for that owner. I bet he/she is not aware the history of that CGT.

Someone with a good relationship with Symbolic told me the $391k Ebay sale ended up being a dead beat bidder and the car was sold outside of auction for $370.

I apologize to Tom in advance, but after reading all the posts regarding falling CGT prices, I couldn’t help but add this quote from last June.
"I agree with what you said ben, except the part about the discount for CGTs 'down the road'. that will never happen, at dealeres or in the secondary market. there will always be a premium over MSRP for this car except for the people who are on the initial 1500.

I got a message today from my dealer that they have to spec out all remaining Carrera GT slot for 2006 this week. Builds will begin Aug '05. Is Porsche charging 15K for paint to sample?
