Default Considering trading Carrera GT for Bugatti Chiron

Long time CGT owner and I’m weighing the idea of trading it plus cash for a Chiron. Will I regret it? Totally different cars and with 500 built will it hold its value over time.

I think the answer depends on what you value in a supercar. Need more information...

Will it hold value? Well, it's non-hybrid and potentially the last of the 16 cylinder engine, so those attributes help.

They did build 500 but its one a kind car and pretty much everything moving forward will be hybrid or electric. If anyone has leads on a Chiron feel free to message pm or post it here.

I haven't driven a Chiron but I have driven a Veyron super sports pretty hard on track...it's trash...the CGT is purity...perfection really...Bugatti doesn't do it for me...that said, it's probably easier to buy back into a CGT if you don't like the Chiron so you could scratch the itch and see what you think

Veyron > Chiron if long term collectability is your priority.

When it comes to driving experience the Bugatti is on the other end of the spectrum…close to a Tesla

They're definitely on the other end of the driving spectrum vs a CGT but cool nonetheless. More of a jet vibe than Tesla I'd say.

Last of the 16 cylinder cars! I didn’t know there was a first

2x8’s? Is this the car with two keys or two settings to run off one 8 or two?

I went from a CGT to a Vitesse. Recently sold the vitesse after about 2 years of owning it. They are about as opposite as can be. The build quality and materials on the bug is on another level. It's one of the aspects I liked the most. The bug can be mellow when you want it to be while also having this ballistic acceleration party trick. Theres no chill in a CGT. Despite what you might hear they do handle quite well. At least the Vitesse/SS. You start to feel the weight on direction change and braking. But for the street its about as fast as anything out there. I've had the CGT on track, would not take the bug on track if I had the opportunity. Just not that type of car. One is hyper gt and the other is a supercar. Running costs for the bug are about 25k a year w/o having to do tires. I think people are beginning to appreciate the bugs. The engineering is so impressive, having a daily'able 1200hp+ car is pretty badass. I had a bug itch and I scratched it. Don't think I would buy another one, would buy another CGT. I do think the Vitesse/SS will continue to appreciate above Chiron.
