I drove a Taycan turbo this week, I returned it after the test drive with no interest in climbing back into it. The fast accelerating party trick is not even that interesting, it's just a heavy heavy car, it struggled mightily in just a few average twisty turns with tires clearly in difficulty. But most of all, for lack of a better word, it completely "lacked soul"... i will go for a Panamera GTS instead.
I see the appeal of EV, but for a utilitarian vehicle like a tesla... not as a premium sporty vehicle in the $150k range... and EV is even less exciting to as an "even faster" electric whirring appliance at $1M+.
Something about my gearhead mind needs vibrations and sounds... EV screams efficient, like a monorail train, not engaging.
