OMG! my friend wasnt lyin when he told me last week he saw a weird looking porsche with NJ plates, i showed him the pic and said he saw that. Still didnt believe him until I read this post

If you don't mind sharing, how much is insurance for the CGT and are you on a limited (2500?/5000?) mileage plan?

 

fwiw, i've only quote leland west so far, but it's like $4k/year.

 

Sorry, Guys. Was away on a biz trip and just got back. Believe it or not, insurance from State Farm is $2,800/yr! I had it confirmed twice by my agent. This is without any stated limit on the mileage.

BTW, I will get pics when I take delivery.

The "other" guy who drove my car (besides me) was Bill Boyes, the best Porsche tech at Rosen's (or anywhere else for that matter) and a friend for 15 years.

 

hey les, we have state farm on our other cars, but it's very doubtful i would trust their repair policies to back my CGT. then again, there probably won't be a lot of "like kind and quality" type half **** replacement parts out there for them to require anyway :--) diminished value is going to be a nasty surprise too if there is ever any meaningful damage and state farm is probably not going to be the greatest on that either.

 

I hate State Farm for the same reasons Ben shared.
