Default Update on 918 prices

I've been considering the purchase of a 918 Spyder non Weissach with liquid chrome finish. Any input on current market values would be most appreciated...

Local dealer is bringing one in but they haven't decided on a price.
There was a W 918 under 1000 miles silver race flames 1.1m in St Louis for over a year - went to 2 auctions did not make reserve. Same car is at Naples asking 1.6m when the local dealer sold it moved to Naples.

This is the difference between CGT and 918 owners.

One group does whatever they can to assist buyers and sellers while the other does whatever they can to support current owners.

Years back thought the CGT would pass the 918 and my guess - mission accomplished!

Ummmm... I don't disagree that this will eventually be the case, but it would take a pretty special Carrera GT to exceed the value of a pretty mediocre 918 today. Definitely an exceptional case and far from the norm.

While not a forgone conclusion, I sure would be shocked if they don’t invert at some point. However, I agree, avg 918 still a hefty premium over 980. While I LOVE the CGT, I’d trade mine straight up for a 918 if anyone is interested; then promptly trade back and pocket the difference for future maintenance

Many CGT's beyond 918 believe the top one is the orange 1,193,000.00 at auction
Imagine Gulf Blue or White would go well beyond

CGT vs 918 collector quality the CGT - only one is continuing to go up and it's not the hybrid.

Again... Ummmm... Isn't that what I said?

Your first post said "Mission Accomplished", implying that your (and let's be real, everyone else's) prediction that CGT prices would surpass 918 prices was, well, accomplished. That is not the case in the general market, and the example you use makes that point - a very special CGT sold for roughly what an otherwise average 918 would bring. The fact that you can individually name the CGT examples that might also exceed the average 918 value kinda makes that point.

Again, no one's arguing that it will eventually happen (Enzo and LaF prices are at this point now), but we're just not quite there yet...

Was offered a LaF for 2.4 low miles vs Enzo similar mileage would be far more expensive.

Understand what you are saying but delivery mileage on a CGT or Enzo vs 918 or LaF is more rare / desirable and will exceed their younger siblings in value.

I simply believe hybrid in these early exotic Halo cars was a big mistake - time will tell.

Pricing with auctions and plenty for sale - easy to learn the market but to learn about the car has thru owners is where the real value sits.

The question - any 918 owners privately contact people here asking looking to buy - great way to go fishing.
When I had some weak moments on the CGT my inbox filled up immediately.
