Default Up yours, COVID-19

I decided in my infinite wisdom that the best cure for me for COVID-19 was to buy a Carrera GT. And so I did. Thank goodness for commercial real estate and let’s pray things get back to normal, but for now, here is my new prized possession:

Interior color is terracotta, which is my favorite. Car includes all luggage, books, records, keys, etc.

2005 car with 5200mi and in immaculate condition. I am not ready for this.

Big congrats, welcome to the club and enjoy the hell out of that! It's beautiful!
I've found the best escape from our new reality are long drives in dream cars. You've got 'em!

Dude, I’ve put 500mi on my GT3 in the last two days and I guarantee you I’ve enjoyed them more than anyone near me.

Don’t want to be a what if kind of person.

Congratulations! You'll find that a long drive in the cgt will cure lots of things. It's good for the soul! Treat it with respect and it will reward you immensely.

Nice move! I am on the side that absolutely loves the terracota - it looks so clean and rich. I love the aggressive move of buying the car in these conditions. Timing the market and whatnot is BS - buy what you want when you can and enjoy it!!

Did a drive in my new toy yesterday and, while not a CGT, I found running thru the gears and listening to the motor to be a nice recharge. Everyone stay safe and have some fun during these confusing times.

Terracotta looks beautiful. Enjoy her in good health. I love the CF steering wheel and shift ****. I see a NY license plate. Are you in NY?

Looks excellent! Really like the CF combination.
Never seen Terracotta in person but these pictures are impressive.
Also in CRE you aren't far away - enjoy!

And another CGT plus 05/06 FGT owner! Congrats! I have 17k miles on my CGT and 56k miles on my 2005 FGT. Good pair of cars to own.

That’s the sellers garage unfortunately. I’d love to have a FGT but I have too much crap as it is. Don’t have time to drive them all.

This CGT is so much more raw and visceral than I thought it would be. Amazing machine. How in the hell is this a road car?

Another thing I’ve noticed is that the car feels much heavier than I was expecting. The steering has a lot more weight to it that my 991.2 GT3 and the car just feels more substantial whereas the 720 feels like a go kart in comparison.

That's the spirit!

Time to enjoy some of that open-air therapy. It's good for health and mind!!

p.s. like you said, this is a GT car. The width and heft is apparent within the first 10 minutes eh
