WTB - CGT top leather strap clips
#17
I brought my printed clips to the local "Professional" 3D printing company (go engineering) The have some nice materials my printer can not do. So I asked for a quote using nylon and a mix of pvc/carbon. Sent them my STL files and expect the quote back tomorrow. Min order is $250 which I guess would be quite a few clips.
I think if I added more rib support material to the "U" it would give it much more strength. When I checked my printed units in the holders there is alot of room to improve these and still hold the roof secure.

update
I have gone back to Go Engineering about improving the "U" shape on the clip and using a stronger printing material. considering what is being held down, breaking is not a option. so i expect to get a quote back and will give another update!
current quote is using nylon and nylon/CF materials.

I am traveling but I did receive the 3d printed nylon clips from Go engineering. Attached is a photo of what they look like. I did get more than I ordered. I would like to look at these when I get home. My guess is cost will be 30 bucks for 1 clip, shipping box and shipping cost. So if your interested: PM me,
