You know those plastic clips on the end of the leather straps, that hold in place the two CF top pieces in the frunk? I have both straps, but two of my plastic clips are broken/missing. Anyone know where I can find the clips? Magic German elves?

This feels like something we should 3d scan and 3d print...because I'm sure it's a comical amount of money from the factory.

the. strap iirc is 700+ each msrp. it was painful as my friend had to order a pair

I’m completely ignorant on the 3D print stuff, but this does seem like a candidate for it? Otherwise, I guess I’l leave an extra strap (w/no clips) and $700 less in my pocket; I’ll call suncoast this week.

I have a 3d printer and they look easy to scan and print, problem will be getting the strap material, stiching and that fancy #. Looks like something from JoAnns!

I have the straps. I’m missing two clips. Yeah, I’d be super interested in printing a set of clips. Hell, I’d take 2 sets (4 total), just in case. I’ll PM you.

I know someone who could custom make the identical straps (she makes really high end guitar straps using the finest materials). As her supportive dealer, she would make a few if I requested it. My guess would be about $50 each.

I’ll keep that in mind if I lose a strap. Luckily, I have both straps. I need the little plastic clips on the ends of the straps. bojali has graciously volunteered to do some 3D print experimentation. I’ll keep everyone posted.

well I printed up 2 today and will print 2 more, just running directions of printing. Plus I was impatient and didn't wash off the support material on the first two..

I was thinking today that if they were printed using nylon that would help with reducing the over stress breaking. I assume that the U shape is what snaps?? anyone whos is broken can you tell me where they are snapping



so here is a quick picture of the printed verses the "factory".. you can see where i pulled off the support and some material.. a little buff with some fine cloth will get it close to the factory. next to test when it snaps..
