I have multiple video clips on the Enzo, as well as Tiff Needel's first drive in one... I don't have official lap times as none have been given for the Enzo, but also have multiple articles on the Enzo, as I have been tracking the "F60" since it's first published rumors

...I'm not sure how the C-GT could match it on the track, though I'm hoping to at least be CLOSLELY proven wrong *hint track test hint*

I have not found a TG or 5th gear Enzo vid yet either.

There is a vid out there starring Walter Rorhl w/the CGT, Enzo & Gallardo at the ring. There is very little driving footage in it unfortunately. It is also in German, I think, and I do not speak German, so I can't tell you what they say.

Where can I get that?

It'll be a good match, I just hope that with all the testing Porsche does at that track that they are able to build the superior machine.

I would hazard a guess that the CGT will beat it at the ring. I dont' know how Porsche does it but it always seems like their cars can beat more powerful competitors on the ring. I could be wrong but doesn't the GT3 beat the gallardo and murcielago? I know the GT3 beat them BOTH on top gears little test track in the WET! It doesnt' even seem possible to me but that's what they said. I don't know what top gear would have to gain by not giving them a fair test.

brh986,

The vid was done by Auto, Motor & Sport.

Also, here are some ring times for your comparison.

7:40min (CGT) Cold & damp track
7:46min ( GT2 )
7:47min ( GT3 RS ) PZero Corsa
7:50min ( M3 CSL ) Pilot Cup
7:50min (Murcielago)
7:52min (Gallardo)
7:54min ( GT3 )
7:56min ( 360 CS ) PZero Corsa

Times mostly obtained from here: Ring times

however,

"AutoWeek has learned that Bugatti will try for a world record for production cars later this year by pushing the Veyron to the 252-mph maximum originally quoted by former Bugatti boss Karl-Heinz Neumann back in 2000. "

Where did you get the CS time? Are Pzero corsa R compound or something? Why do they deserve special mention?

Maybe to signify that they weren't on racing slicks or something?

I agree with Greg. Top speed isn't the most important factor in a car. If it can go really fast in a straight line, but can't turn, then who cares?

The Corsa's and Pilot Sport Cups's are both street legal R-compound tires. All those times are originally form the german Sport Auto magazine.

Reinhardt, interesting that you mention the SLR - however I don't think that car would be anywhere close in terms of track performance with the other two in this comparison. It's not nearly as focused a track car as the other two. But would like to see the lap time nonetheless.

GT magazine printed the Carrera GT's ring lap time as 7'30 with Rohrl driving

I don't know why most people on this thread seem to think the result is a forgone conclusion to the Ferrari. So it has a slight power/weight advantage. Since when was that enough to set the fastest lap time? Porsche seems to have gone to lengths to lower the centre of gravity, lower unsprung weight and to create a very stiff chassis. Details like this can make the difference...

Ben, thanks for the link but it seems that the Carrera GT wasn't included in the test? It says that the DVD includes a Carrera GT 'preview'...
