I think sellers can probably get higher prices by using a broker if they have to fork over 10%-12% of the sales price.

Pricing here includes Buyer's Premium. Which is actual cash outlay for Buyer.
JVMax pricing in his attachment was high bid when hammer dropped, wherein Seller's premium is calculated from too.
The 997.1 was very tempting.
Mooty-- GT4 was a Signal yellow and looked great. Also tempting to purchase but a stripper w/ no AC/Radio, I believe. No radio OK. No a/c would've been tough.

Anymore auction house estimates appear more driven by what it takes to get the cars to market than what they believe could possibly happen. So the irony is that even when we are not within that standard we are usually closer to what actually happens than the auction house's estimates are!
Most certainly we were off (as much as 20%) on the high side on some cars which tells us that auction houses can no longer deliver on price - not even on our below low estimate prediction prices. This means they are now mostly a source of a liquidity (and frequently not even that for a good % of reserve auctions these days). This is a real problem for auction houses as the liquidity function alone is not worth their cost (5% sell side + 12% buy side).

Thanks, we consider 10% as the acceptable variance in our predictions - which is a pretty tight self imposed standard ... it's not so easy to predict in the unpredictable forum of auctions

P1 has been dropping perhaps they are just dips but you may be correct the 918 replacement is a long ways off.
I still say the CGT will surpass the 918 and some cases it already may have.

I think it was fairly bought and you are probably in it for less all-in than the previous owner. I think everything except rare air cooleds, limited series 997's, CGT's and 918's (and maybe 911R's) will be at MSRP or below soon (if not already) so this is a model to buy.
