Default CBA Porsche 9 Amelia Island Auction Preview

We are at it again and have just posted our blog for Amelia.

Should be a lot more interesting than Scottsdale.

Why do you think that 04 still have a "stigma." If the car hasn't had the update done, can't any dealer perform the update? Do prices of 04 vs 05 w/ similar spec & miles show a difference?

Yes anything not done can be.

Hard to say if it's truly reflected in prices - there are so many other differences between individual cars that affect price and there are not a lot of data points.

It's most evident in the number of people who request a preference to buy an 05 but not an 04 - or are not interested in buying an 04 at all.

I own an 04, and yes the stigma is reflected some in the price, esp if it's towards the garage queen/collector example end of spectrum. and no there's no difference behind the wheel unless u can somehow see the subtle blue tint in the rear window. I can if I stare at it just right from outside

If it's a driver, go for the 04. If u r buying a delivery mile and want to keep it under a blanket, take away all excuses and get an 05.

Thanks for your insights, they're always entertaining...

If you're given a generous variance, you almost got half right...

Koum collection got killed; IIRC only the RS 4.0 did well
Grey 997.2 3.8RS did better than the 997.1 3.6 green RS
918 no where near estimate
I was in the room, great crowd but a lot of "misses"

Care to show the hammer prices of the cars, especially the 4.0?

I think the very low mile white 4.0 rs at Gooding hammered at $525k
i think premium 12pcnt so seller net $462ish

the GT2rs hammered at $320k, so seller net 282ish

My guess is there was almost no seller’s premium. Buyer’s premium is 12 per cent to $250k and 10 above that.

I think seller’s commission fee is same,
barring a pre auction negotiation
