Have only seen magnesium heads mentioned in this article, which quotes the Singer ceo, Fawaz. But I guess I have seen plenty of articles misunderstand and print all sorts of inaccuracies

First, Sumbaco above said that Singer used "magnesium cylinder heads". Is Sumbaco incorrect?
Second, I have no doubt that a small fortune was spent with Williams.
Third, clearly Chris Harris is a friend of and/or being compensated in some way by Singer.
Fourth, I have no doubt that everyone associated with Williams/Singer is serious.
Fifth, other than belief and logic, there is as of yet no concrete independent evidence of a long term successful test of the engine under extreme load. I do, however, very much hope it works.

I responded previously, but it looks like the comment got caught by a moderator for some reason. It's possible the author of the article I read misunderstood and wrote something wrong. It's not the first time that has happened, if it did. But the article quoted, or seemingly quoted, Singer CEO, Mr. Fawaz, saying that Williams chose magnesium for the four valve heads.
The article was on Arstechnica. It's still up if you google it. It's the only place if I've seen mention magnesium for the heads. I don't have any insider knowledge.

The Article could be wrong. Or Mr. Fawaz might be wrong (particularly as it seems his knowledge of metals is limited). P.S. There is nothing new or revolutionary about magnesium -- it has been used for years by Porsche and many others (including many others not in F1) for years. Of course, given how it reacts to heat, its use in cylinder heads would be "interesting". Also, this could be just puffing. P.S. Many overplay the use of F1 technology.

i visited the Williams/Singer facility and it is hard to convey the level of seriousness that has gone into this project .. my anticipation is feverish and confidence total.
