can "back carbon brace" on CGT be replaced / repaired
Hi guys,
was looking at this car HERE,
one first glance I noticed two things, one was that that "back carbon brace" not sure what the technical name is to that part.. there looked to be some "yellowing" or "bubbling" in two areas on it.. is the normal on some cars, or is it some fluids got on it, or aging or what could cause that? I can gat a photo on Monday to show... wondering procedure on that, if it can repaired or is normal on some or just walk way from.. ( if you see in photos they didn't photograph that part of the carbon ... go figure )
Jimmy apparently has served the car couple hundred miles ago, and talking to him about the car.. I'm just more concerned about this first

Looks like maybe something was dropped on it? Wouldn't be a deal breaker to me.

It's clear coat delaminating. No big deal, any competent body shop can redo the clear coat. The $$$ comes from the fact that you need to drop the engine and separate the subframe from the car. The repair itself is cheap and straight forward.
Personally, I would just touch it up with a dab of clear coat and leave it like that until the next time you bring the car in for a major service, and then you can reclear the entire engine subframe.

if it's delaminated, you can't just wet sand it.
it's ok, literally 90% of the CGT have similar issues. look at the "mouth" on front bumper, door sill, bottom of door, door jamb, diffuser, the pedal box, i can guarantee you that you will find these delaminations. just ignore it and drive it.
in worse cases, some clear paint even "flake off"...

Your car's unfit to drive with that delam'd CF. Here, let me take it off your hands for $100k. No need to even consult all the pricing experts on RL...
