I got it gents!! The timing couldn't be any more financially wrong, but it really was now or never. With tons of blood, sweat and tears i made it happen!! I was patient and waited and got a tremendous example for my budget. I didn't have to buy a crashed or totaled car. I was able to just buy a damn near perfect car with no stories to mention. The only thing to put it down to my budget range was that she has 25k miles. Which of course is the lesser of all the evils i mentioned!!

The drive is more glorious than i remember almost 10 years ago. As my only fast car right now, i feel like i may pile on 5k plus miles a year. But more miles equal more smiles as we all know too well. I will also do my best to never have an empty passenger seat as that would make me feel guilty. Rolling through the gears and rev-match heel toe action going around turns is amazing. It feels incredible to own basically the best car in the world and join such an elite and small club.

Congrats on getting exactly what you wanted and the way you wanted it. That’s incredible but you were obviously patient.

I'd like to publicly congratulate John on buying my car. He's a great buyer, enthusiast and all around good guy. This car has been his dream for sometime and I'm happy to see him realize it! Enjoy the car in good health for many years to come John! Hopefully I'll be back in a CGT again soon

Thanks everyone. I am no photographer, but here are some shots. I already did about 500 miles in about 3 weeks. She had some incredible company when getting the windshield protection installed. I am all smiles. Thanks for the words everyone.

Ok, for once i have to say "forget the CGT"...

What is that silver moby dick thing doing in your garage. I may be late to the party but can you direct me to some background info please?

I'm showing my age, but back in the day, DP Motorsports was an aftermarket tuner. I think that would be the proper term. I don't remember that they were a manufacturer like Ruf. Anyway, they were hot in the early '80s IIRC and I think they mostly modified 911 turbos. I also remember them all being slantnosed with an extended rear wing and outrageous paint jobs. Don't ever remember seeing one with such an aggressive front air dam like the silver one next to the cgt. Most I recall were like these.

All i know about it is that the shop owner said it was won at an auction recently for about 800k. If anyone really wants to know, you can PM me and i will get the scoop on it.

I also want to publicly thank E-Man for being the custodian of good ol' #0699 the last 8 years or so. I hope to keep it's condition exactly AS IS! I also hope to set a record on the highest mile original clutch!! What is that record btw? I feel like i already have it at 26k miles.

Congrats man.

Delayed gratification for sure.

Now you can never sell it!

New tires and be safe.
