WTB high mileage/needing mechanical work "affordable" CGT
I obviously know about the 30k mile Delaware car.
Would like to see if anyone has a high mile car that needs a clutch/service/other repairs/issues/etc that they want to sell at fair market price.
Finances ready. Find me a lead, and i pay you. I'm in the auto business and this car is a keeper for me personally. Can partial trade my 2007 gated Murcielago LP640 or a 2011 Rolls Royce Ghost with factory Rolls warranty till 2019.
I have 3500 CGT miles under my belt in my friends cars, and know my way around them mechanically. Excited to start my journey to own the best car in the world and take it to grave with me. Then to my kids.

FWIW- while it sounds like you do much of the work yourself, however with parts very highly priced and occasional dealer service likewise, I still think a higher mileage car that has been well maintained, without major needs, is a better long term deal

First, if I could find one in the 4's, would have bought it already. Second, the best option I see close to the 4s is the 30k mile one we have all seen. What's the story on it? I've decided to wait until the next recession to look for my CGT. Got plenty of things to drive until then.

i think right now a wrecked parts car is more than 4's ;-(

By the time the next recession hits, the CGT's will have gone up considerably and perhaps drop to where they are now. The best time to buy anything is when you want it.

We are seeing a rise in prices all around, a lot of nice cars seem to be trading hands off market however as with anything money talks and every asking price has been negotiable.

I agree 100%. It's never smart trying to time the market for cars. When you come across good examples, you should seize the moment and pull the trigger. Good CGTs are hard to come by nowadays. Too many bad examples are on the market.

I want a bad AND higher mileage car. Ha. Someone has to have a track rat or carfax/accident car for sale. How can all current CGTs for sale be clean title no accidents. I will keep my eyes open, but a nice finders fee for anyone who gets me a lead that i close on!

A UK car that was heavily damaged in 2007 and written off by the insurance company recently sold with 64k miles for £390k GBP, so around $500 k USD.
Porsche GB would not service it after it was patched back together outside of the dealer network, so it’s been maintained by the owners shop - hardly good regardless of how competent they may be!
Even a bad one is worth a good chunk of money.
