Default My 1/43 collection

I took a few pictures of the majority of my cars.

Aside from these, I have misc. prints/artwork from Porsche, Nicholas Watts etc. An old TAG-Turbo block and heads and the usual book collection.

Here's to what will hopefully be many more posts from all you closet collectors out there.

Thanks for your kind words. You have amassed quite the collection yourself. I dread moving. It takes forever to pack the cars up once you take them out of their boxes.

Thank you. The hard part is trying to explain that they aren't toys. Most people look at me rather awkwardly wondering why I put my "boys toys" in a case. My wife probably thinks that I'm a child as well.

Great collection. I'm collecting 1:18's and also a respray of a 993 turbo to polar silver.

1:18's are awesome. I started that way and foolishly got rid of them. My flawed logic had to do with selling my wife on the idea of my continuing to collect cars, hence my change to 1/43. At the time my argument that they were smaller and wouldn't be much of an eye-sore seemed like a good one. Now I regret having gotten rid of the bigger cars.

A respray sounds interesting. Are you airbrushing it yourself?

I just picked up a UT Porsche GT1 996 in silver off Ebay today. I hope I can stop myself. It's a curse for me, I never know when to stop. It seems that the kid in me always manages to come out and play.

Not only do you need to take them out. You need to show them off here.

Awesome collection. Out of the box is the way to display for sure! I really love 1/43 scale. Not too big and not too small.

Thanks!
I'm not doing myself any favors resale wise, but that's not why I have them. I'm contemplating a respray on a UT 993 GT1. Can't have two identical cars.

Anyone here ever go this route?
