2017 Voice Control for Navigation
I just learned that my 2017 Macan S that I ordered in California with Navigation DOES NOT come with Voice Control! The new PCM with Navigation is described as having voice control. I did some research on this and learned that Voice Control is a NO COST option when the Navigation option is selected. The only problem is that the dealer needs to check off the option QH1. In my case it wasn't checked off by the dealer when I ordered the Macan, therefore no voice control. The salesman did not even know about this little hiccup at the time. The Porsche configurator on the USA website for building your own Macan does not even mention voice control or QH1 so someone building their Macan online wouldn't even know about it! Very frustrating for sure. I verified this information at my dealer today and they are willing to order me another one with the no cost Voice Control. Guess I may have to wait another 4 months...

Surely it's only software?

My dealer said that Voice Control in the past as been terrible. I have a feeling that's why it's no cost instead of $600. I went ahead and checked the box anyway. I wouldn't have if it wasn't free.

It's so bad that Porsche doesn't even allow dealers to order it in their stock units. It only comes on custom built cars.

997Turbo it can be added after. I would think your dealer would rather swallow the $600 retail and add it rather than order you another car.
If you go to Porsche.com and look at the tequipment section it lists adding voice control as an option.

Porsche is very proud of its excellent scores in JD Power's IQS.
