Default PCM “Next” Button Question

On our new to us 2021 Macan S, I set the “diamond” button on the steering wheel to select the “next” item (radio station, music track, etc.).
When listening to any source of the radio, the next button takes you to whatever station is next up on the dial. I would prefer the button take me to the next station on my favorites list.
I hope I’ve described this clearly. Am I missing something obvious that would make the Next button behave the way I want it to?

Do you have the radio screen with your favourites displayed? I have the 2018 and I need to have that displayed for the next track button to work that way. Stupid way of doing it but that’s Porsche….

Yes, I have the screen with the recently listened to stations in the top row and the favorite stations in the bottom row.
Even with that screen displayed, the Next button moves through ALL the SiriusXM stations in numerical order… NOT thru the favorites. \

Huge fail on Porsche's part. It will not scroll your Favorites. Only go to the next station. Super annoying if using Satellite or conventional radio. Same on all modern Porsche's I have owned, sadly.

I have the previous generation PCM on my 2022 Cayman GTS. All 718s are still using the older dash-screen tech.
Honestly, it is easier to use and far more logical than the PCM in our 2021 Macan S.
As Porsche continues the March to EVs, they should have a customer panel to help them make sure the systems don’t overly complicate the everyday things like using the radio and changing the station. Also, touchscreens are cool, but generally, you have to look away from the road to make a touchscreen selection.

yes. 2024 Macan GTS. Same thing. Can’t believe they set it up this way. Thought I was missing something at first but nope…
