Default Porsche 997 RSR LCA question

Hi All,

The 997 RSR (later version) uses a forged AL LCA with a replaceable bearing & pin on the upright end. What I would like to understand is why the pin is available in 3 different lengths?

Thanks

Ray

It is available in 3 different lengths as that allows you to fine tune the roll center of the LCA

And if you dont plan to run a Rsr height and use big tires like 710 height. You Are making Your suspension worse by going the Rsr route.

People just think Rsr and wow

Rickard - agree that using these pieces requires thought...

Has anyone tried machining a non rsr arm out to accept the outer monoball?
arm is same casting so guess that's all Motorsport did.
tricky to clamp the arm for milling I guess .
I've removed a non rsr outer ball joint on a worn out arm...just to have a look!
