sorry. highjacking your thread for some tech advice that i wanted to ask for a longer time.
I bought the 1st version of this cable (MSA BOX I) to be able to read out 996 Cup en 997 Gen I.
it has the same USB connection like yours. Turns out, for 996 Cup i need a parallel port connection.
Is that info correct or am i doing something wrong ?

I just yesterday read the info on a 2003 996 cup with a MSA Box II with USB just like this one.
Not sure if that is an answer to your question.
Thanks
Ed

my 2002 Cup reads with MSA box 2 . Basically if it has the Bosch MS 3.1 ecu it should read with any MSA box. Be careful to use the correct software and drivers for the box / interface though . For something SO expensive it's very difficult to get set up.
