996 CUP Exhaust manifold / headers
I was cleaning up the garage last night and made an inventory of all the spares I have for the CUP. I have an extra set of headers and the question is; are these stock 996 CUP headers or something else?
I am thinking these might be stock and the headers on the car now are something else because the muffler sits lower than in other cup's I've seen.

Sorry to burst anything but it's not a factory RSR system. I have them and they dont look like that. The factory parts have separate flanges that bolt to the head like your picture from the parts book and the mufflers are made of inconel that doesnt rust. Those are RSR style and they probably make serious power and noise as implied.
Those headers look very much like the aftermarket washburn headers I saw teams use from 2000-2008 when Porsche charged $10-20K for systems. Unlike the factory parts, the washburns all had the slip fit sections and were made from inconel tubes. Some had separate flanges and others had ganged flanges like yours.

Thanks for the info guys! It makes sense that this would be a UK system as my CUP was originally sold to and raced in the UK.
Would be nice to try these on the cup but I want to keep it stock so I can race it in the stock class.

Hi Juha,
as I said they raced these Systems in the british Carrera Cup. Porsche sold the british cars with that System! So it is actually original on your car ;-)
