History
Porsche Zentrum Essen, delivered the car to Mamerow Engineering, Castrop-Rauxel, Germany in February of 2004 (I have a copy of the original sales invoice from Porsche to Mamerow, see picture), in preparation for the 2004 Carrera Cup Deutschland season.
Wearing race # 25 for 2004, the car was driven by Hannes Lachinger for Mamerow Racing with major sponsorship from Fuji Film Digital. 25 was competitive all season with many podiums, Hannes finished the season in 5th place in the championship with 107 points. Hannes also raced 25 in the German round of the Michelin Super Cup at the Nurburgring finishing 8th (my avatar pic).
For the 2005 season of Carrera Cup Deutschland, the car wore # 21 and was driven by Chris Mamerow (son of the team’s principal) again with major sponsorship from Fuji Film Digital. Chris finished 8th in the championship with 41 points.
At the end of the 2005 season Mamerow sold the car to Jetstream Motorsports, Wijchen, Netherlands (a Super Cup Team). Jetstream entered the car in the Winter Kampioenschap at Zandvoort in their red and white livery wearing # 114 with major sponsorship from HSF Logistics for drivers Simon Frederiks and Philip Beyrer. I’ve not been able to confirm much about this short part of the car’s history, since Jetstream no longer exists as a Super Cup Team as it was during those years and there is no one left at the company to confirm any details. What I’ve pieced together is from internet research and photographs. I believe the car was retubbed during it’s time with Jetstream, Mamarow has confirmed that they didn’t retub it and it was not done after importation into the USA. It has the VIN in the front compartment upper cowl and no VIN on the left side of the windshield frame (normal retub), there is also an ID decal on the tub behind the rear bumper dated 11/15/04 build with the paint code B9A (Carrera White).
Jetstream sold the car to Kelly Moss, Madison WI who imported into the USA in early 2006. As I understand it Kelly Moss had a multiyear relationship with Jetstream to buy last year’s Cup Cars for importation and sale in the USA as club racers. Jeff Stone of Kelly Moss confirmed this but did not remember the car. I located the gentleman who bought the car from Kelly Moss and he confirmed that he owned the car from 2006 until 2010 but only tracked it in a couple of DE’s at Road America due to back problems. The car went with him when he retired to Florida, he then sold it in 2010 to the gentleman I acquired it from who also just did a few track days with it.
When I purchased the car in the fall of 2013 it was still partially in the #114 Jetstream livery and had a number of bolt on modifications that excluded it from PCA GTC3. However the car was in very nice condition with a little over 3400 on the odometer, 101 hours on the ECU and 70 hours on the engine. After some refreshing, I ran the car as modified in PCA GTA1 and one NASA GTS5 race in 2014.
I started doing some digging into the car’s history from early in my ownership, I found green paint behind the mirrors/rocker covers and the first US owner had mentioned the Fuji Green on the car as well. I obtained copies of the books, Porsche Sport 2004 & 2005 which contained numerous photos of the car, I also located diecast models by Minichamps & Schuco. I contacted Mamerow Racing with the assistance of my wife who is fluent in German and they confirmed the VIN and engine number was their 25 & 21 car from the 2004 and 2005 Carrera Cup Deutschland season. I have saved copies of all our email correspondence and documentation.
At the end of 2014 I decided to embark on a comprehensive refresh to return the car to stock PCA GTC3 configuration & the livery to it’s most successful season of 2004, #25 Team Mamarow, Fuji Film Digital, piloted by Hannes Lachinger.
Wright Motorsports, Batavia, OH have completed all of the installation and set up work on the car since early 2015, in conjunction with their body shop Automobile Collision Experts who repainted the car, Brain Copan’s has been responsible for the gearbox, PMNA the engine rebuild & Dan Porter of Magnagrafik recreated the Fuji Film Digital Livery.

Great to hear from you! I trust you and your family are doing well also. I have mixed feelings about selling the car, it's been quite the journey getting it to this point.
Hope to see you soon.

I know both this owner as well as this car. All of Joseph's cars are simply perfect; he wouldn't have them any other way. As for this Cup, I've seen both the before and the after. I only dream my car is as nice as the before, let alone the after. It is the cleanest, most perfect Cup I've ever seen. On one hand, it's collector worthy. On the other hand, to take a $50k Cup and make it right will land around $100k or more, so it's a bargain to race. I've got 7.2 money into my 6Cup and it still ain't as nice as this one....

I'm not very happy about selling the Cup but the proper up keep and cost of racing the car has prevented me from going to the track as much as I want to in the last year.
I've decided to simplify things and go back to a track day car when the Cup sells, probably a gt3.
Best to Cheryl and hope to see you soon.
