Default 996 Cup brake pads/rotors

Gentleman,
I am about to cross ove to the dark side in 996 cup. What pads and rotors do you all use? Stovl roots and pagids or is there a PFC option?
Thanks

We stock and sell the OEM rotors here.

We also have the Hawk brake pads for the Cup. Solid performance and a nice savings over the PFC's. There differences between the early and late 6Cup too.

Anton ,
PCA rules do not allow you to run 2 piece rotors in club racing so you are stuck with stock cross drilled or Deman slotted 350 mm 1 piece rotors.
Most are running Pagid Rs29 front and RS 14 rear or PFC 08 up front and PFC 11 rear.
PFC has 2 piece rotors available for the 996 cup.
I have all the PFC pads in stock and can make pricing very attractive.

Actually, you CAN run a 2-piece Brembo rotor as long as you use the non-floater bobbins. I have the email from Walt himself. 350x34 Brembo T3 works just fine. And I have the Deman rotors just in case.

Currently running OEM rotors and RS29 pads. These things seem to last forever compared to my previous car (see avatar), or I am driving too slow

As a newby also first race in Cup this past PCA Sebring, I installed Deman front rotors PFC 08 and 11 pads sourced from Clark at Apex, brakes felt great from the get go.

Again a further clarification, your can run any 2 piece rotor as long as it is fixed. This is front and rear.

Cayenne front rotors non slotted or drilled can be made to fit. Personally I don't like an assymetrical pad set up on a 6 cup. The pfc 08/11 set causes severe over steer if you trail brake very late like i do in the WG toe of the boot. I ran a few laps and took them off. I run Pagid blacks all around. The deman rotors are very nice. ATE also make a rotor that can fit.

I am thinking of running stock rotors and Pagid yellows all round although I also like Pagid black very much because I had them on my 993? Any thoughts on thT?

The yellows are more of and endurance compound. I run blacks and my Friend Ron S runs yellows. We split the sprints at Wg last year. To each there own, not a bad choice. I would at least buy the deman rotors instead of stock The rotors and your pads will last longer. My favorite front rotors are the ATE's and they last a very long time and my blacks easily out last my friends 6cup yellows running stock rotors. The rotor design is more important to rotor and pad life.

That's what I run. They have 15 hours on them right now and still not worn out.
There are pads that give a better pedal feel though.

My perspective is similar to Bob's. Blacks all the way around. Yellow's do not have the stopping power nor the pedal feel of the blacks....IMO.
