Default 2008 GT3 Cup for sale

Hi,

I have a GT3 cup for sale.

I will have one at Hershey this weekend in the car coral, so if you are coming and want to see what it looks like, take a look and hit me up. The one that is going to be there is not this car, but one of the others. The best way to get me this weekend is to PM me.

This car is in great shape. It has been used for a racing series in Brazil and is now coming to the states to be sold.

The Vin number is WP0ZZZ99Z8S798167

It only has 18 hours on the motor since rebuild.
It has only 8 hours on the transmission.
The motor has 0 to 2% leakdown across the board.

The car includes the autoblipper. It comes with an extra set of wheels, the wheel travel hold downs, and a car cover.

This is a 997 cup race car for 996 cup car money. As you can see in the write up, leak down numbers and dyno results are provided.

Price is at $86k

Thanks

Ed

I know that many of you have seen the 996 cup cars that have come up from Brazil. There are 19 new owners of those cars right now. To my knowledge, all of the new owners are happy with their purchases. In fact, I have had past buyers help to sell additional cars.

If you thought the 996 cars looked good, these cars are head and shoulders above them.

I am heading to Miami where the bulk of these cars are at currently to review them and take notes and pictures. If anyone would like any specific information about the cars, let me know.

Thanks

Ed

What's the average interval between engine and transmission rebuilds on these 997 cups, and what's the typical cost for each?

50 hours. ymmv on the typical cost. Depends on if you are having motorsports do it or if you are having your local shop do it. If PMNA, it depends on the work needed and the cost you local shop is going to charge to pull the motor and put it back in.

I have heard of PMNA fresh rebuilt motors being sold for $25k. I have heard of shops performing rebuilds for less, but I have also heard of folks spending $40 for a rebuild. The number can be very dynamic.

Thanks

Ed

Thanks for the info. Engine rebuild cost is about what I expected, though I hoped the interval was more like 100+ hours. Do you have similar info for transmission rebuilds?
