6CupShocks

zero. for me It's the driver. I heard that sachs and JRZ'z are equivalent. In a 6cup, changing equipment except tires is not going to make a big difference if any, again for me. But I have been wrong before.

That said, no (winning) pro teams were running Sachs when the rules allowed them to change that I am aware of.
Christian, I have a brand new set of JRZ 2 way pro shocks, springs, helpers that I just got as part of a deal. They may be spoken for with one of my group here in Cleveland, but if he passes, I can let you know.
Thanks
Ed

Sachs 996 shocks are great and so easy to set, everyone knows how to set them. We used them on a lot of 997 cups when they came out. High end shocks to me are not worth it if you are not racing for money with a full time engineer to work on them.

I will admit that is why I am sticking for now with a 996 Cup, back to factory settings and basics and focus on race craft not what can I upgrade on my car

You can also have the JRZ 3-ways converted to 2-ways to stay legal in C3.
I too need to get out of the Sachs. Mine are so old I am having to rebuild them 2 times a year due to leaks, bent shafts, bushings that are longer available, etc.

If they are rebuilt right, they shouldn't die that quick. If you are bending shafts and killing bushings with regular use, you are doing something wrong.

they were really wrecked when I bought the car. And, even through several rebuilds, they have never been 100% right, always a leak, play, etc. The non availability of the parts is my biggest issue though.

I'm also a fan of the Sachs ( and JRZ) I find them to be the most reliable of all the brands mentioned
Scott who's doing your rebuilds? I've not had any of those issue's and have 8 cups currently
running Sachs that we service regularly with David Glen at Ocean Shore MS. I've also had great results from Dean Dodge at Sachs

If you're not running GTC3, then I have a complete set of Sachs 3-way fronts, 2-way rears rebuilt by Dean Dodge @ Sachs. Fronts are fresh in the box, rears were used for 1 weekend while my Clubsports were being rebuilt. They were OEM from a friend's 03' RSR.
