964 Cup
It is true that the 964s are proper antiques--they were designed as such in 1990, when Porsche was broke, and so they aged faster, even the garage queens. :-))
In fact, UK 964 Cup owners have planned to gather along the Spa Kemel straight with "120 is plenty" placards to complain about the speed of other Porsche Cup models that so badly affects the value of their cherished model. :-))
Not a keeper!

The smart money is in the 964. The 3.8RSR being the pick followed by a 1st 50 Cup.

Slowikowski has put his into the tire wall at least once the past year and continues to flog that thing. I love that guy and hope I am driving like him at his age.

I have the Bridgestone car that was on the cover of excellence mag. It has been perfectly converted to RSR. I am in the process of a light cosmetic overhaul. Car is good original paint never hit.
Should I put it back to stock or leave the wings. I have the stock turnwald wing and doors.
I have a guy that can do the Bridgestone livery which would be cool.
Just can't decide weather or not to go back to totally stock.

Brant,
You see these listed for sale for $300k +, I don't think anyone is paying those kind of prices. There are a couple for sale privately for $200k. At the end of the day most sales are private and really know good way to know how much $$ changed hands unless you know the parties involved.

And mine is going for auction at Coys Sept 6th at Castle Heddingham in the UK. It was built on a factory supplied cup shell to cup then RSR spec by Chzranowski Racing in Germany and owned and raced by me for the past ten seasons. Outright winner from a 64 car ace in Spa Franchoramps in 2013 and fastest lap this year. PM me if interested.

Value of 993 Super Cup Racecar
I've read through the posts to this thread with some interest. I have a 1997 993 Super Cup Racecar that was produced in July 1997 and, I believe, is one of the last few produced by Porsche. My car was never raced in the Super Cup series or any race series in Europe. It is one of 4-6 Super Cup Racecars that were purchased by a private group in Venezuela who wanted to race them as part of a Super Cup race they lobbied Porsche to hold in connection with the Brazilian Formula 1 race at that time. They were unsuccessful in convincing Porsche to do so...there was never a Super Cup race held in connection with the Formula 1 races in South America. Apparently they lost interest in the cars and an individual who knew the cars were sitting in a warehouse in Caracas imported them to the US and offered them for sale. I purchased one of those cars that I believe is a rare color: Pastel Yellow. The paint code on the car is in fact Pastel Yellow. I don't know if any other 993 Cup Car came from the factory in pastel yellow. Many came in Speed Yellow, and Black, Red and White.
When I got the Cup Car it had 350 KM on the speedometer. I used the car in a limited fashion in PCA Club racing and DE events. I think there are about 5,000 KM on the speedometer now. I haven't raced the car in the last four years and I'm considering selling it. I've heard the highest value can most likely be obtained from collectors in Europe but some of the postings here bring that into question. I'd love to hear some comments from others as to views on the accuracy of my assumption and any guess as to how attractive or unattractive such a Cup Car might be to the market. Any guesses as to value would be range of value would be appreciated.
The car is in beautiful form...it still looks like it belongs on a showroom floor! Thanks for any replies.
