The car is running great here at Daytona with the new Bosch ecu. We are ready to make someone a good deal on this extremely fast car. Email autometrics@me.com if anyone is interested.

The car ran very well at the Daytona PCA race. Overall win in the sprint.

Bump for this car's overall win at Carolina Motorsports Park last weekend.

I obviously know nothing about the market: I would have thought this thing gone long ago

Potential purchasers are probably afraid to buy it out of fear they won't put it on the podium like Cory does every time he's behind the wheel. It's no doubt a front runner at every race.

Actually, id probably put many-a'thousand dollars of value in asking Autometrics for the setup sheets for car, and their motec data and video.
immediate jump start to going fast.

Tough act to follow indeed.

Ha. Appreciate the comments guys. Any data and setup info we have for it would be included with the car if the new owner wanted. I also wouldn't mind spending a test day with new owner to help get them up to speed.

We are planning on taking the car to the HSR race at Daytona in a few weeks. After that weekend if we still have the car we are going to do some bodywork upgrades to hopefully make the car a little quicker for sebring PCA.

Do you know hours on motor, gearbox, and chassis. Any photos of inside. Does the car have Radio, Cool Suit, is Motec unlocked?

my two cents:
I've owned a couple of cars now and then. as much as a buyer should strive for a good price on purchase, the far bigger expense is the condition of the car, its ability to go fast without days and days of setup and testing.

ive owned cars that I bought that were raw, and took a lto of time to get the suspension sorted, the transmissioned squared away, exhaust, sloppy shoddy wiring. you get a car with issues, not ready to go, you'll burn 2,3,4,5 man days chasing silly stuff.

the guy who bought my WC Cayman paid good monies for it. it deserved it. fully developed. no crashed. dude will get in it and know he has a car beneath him ready to be competitive, set records, and maybe win.

prior ownership means a ton. Autometric is a top shop. They put great products out and have a great reputation. Cory, son of the business owner, is a top driver in pca and elsewhere, and prepped the car for his own driving, drove it a few times and won races. videos show the car as stable, fast, compliant. someone can buy this thing for cheap money and know that day 1, they wont have 92 headaches ontheir hand, costing them thousand and thousands to get resolved. a year ago this car would have fetched 140, 150.

at this price, this car, this condition...zero brainer.

Thanks Steve. All great points. It hurts our feelings that cars like these don't bring more but now is not a great time to sell a modded 997.

The link on our website was down temporarily, but it seems to be corrected now: http://www.autometricsmotorsports.co...-cup-for-sale/
Here is a photo link with detailed shots: http://autometrics.smugmug.com/ForSa...7-GT3-Grand-Am
The rear quarter dings and rash and rear bumper cracks/rash has been repaired along with the recent graphics scheme. We haven't taken any new recent pics but will be more than happy to take some detail shots on any specific part.

Here is a quick rundown of hours on the car:120hrs total on the chassis. 8-9 on the engine, 6-7 on the trans, 10 on the clutch, 20 on the axles
I may be slightly off on those numbers but that is what I recall without pulling our records.

It's a great car. Huge fun to drive. It can turn some quick laps for sure. Ran 51's at daytona during the HSR event on 9 cycle tires in warm temps. If it doesn't sell I won't have my feelings hurt to have to drive it at Sebring for PCA
