By the way, I have discovered a Bosch official repair service in Germany I have sent the faulty unit to. They are more production ECU focused, but they seem to have accepted my ECU for repair.
As soon as I get and test it back, if anyone is interested, I will report back.

Last news : Bosch stated that these units are not serviceable.
I have sent it back to UK to have the driver behind pin 52 changed and tested back yesterday : Same issue... This corroborates Dave's statement.
End of story. ;-)
