Thanks Dave.
The story continues... M.REMINGTON has received and tested the ECU cold & warm, and guess what... NO FAULT !!!
Next step : Getting it back tomorrow and go to Magny Cours Friday to see ORECA. I have had a chat with their specialist who thinks about a problem of calibration with the throttle body. He has never seen a fried ECU on those cups, but have already seen such a problem and have some ideas to experiment...
We had donne the throttle resetting process, as explained in the service manual, but I remember that the % throttle value in the Modas (very first use of this piece of j.. errr software :-P - especially the workpages given by PM...) seemed to mismatch the Motec, once the calibration process done.
Maybe a hint there, that would explain why it worked with another ECU and my ECU passed all the tests...
If Oreca' ideas don't work, I will try to find someone I could borrow an 2008 ECU from, for testing purpose.
To be continued...

Ho, and I have to say that Peter Remington is a very efficient, quick, honest and nice guy to deal with !
Phone call last Saturday, ECU received Tuesday morning (yesterday), tested cold and warm Tuesday afternoon and sent back today !
And guess what ? Less than 100 GBP for the tests and shipping back with one day delivery in Europe... No need to say more...

A little bit of news...
The car has been to Oreca Magny Cours (Porsche gods in France. They rebuild engines & trannies for the Carrera cup). They tell they have never seen any ECU failure (but there have to be a first time...)
They reloaded the ECU in full and readjusted the throttle calibration. Result : The car is running far better, but, the cylinder 4 is "misfiring". As they have no time to investigate further if I wanted my car for the next event, we took it back (it was at the beginning of last week). The big chief told us that it could only be a matter of spark plug, injector or coil. Easy enough...
Errr... After having tested all this stuff, the injector was not opening. When swapped on another cylinder wire, the injector is ok. Well, a wire thing ? Continuity is ok from the ECU to the injector plug.
This leave us with, once again... The "never failing" ECU (pin 52 to be more specific).
Thanks to Dave, I have an ECU on its way (should be there Thursday) to replace that "bullet proof" thing. I hope that it will, at last, solve the issue...
Once again, to be continued... :-\

Breaking news !
I have received the 2008 ECU - Many thanks to Dave & Karly ! - and guess what ?! THE ENGINE IS NOW RUNNING ON ALL ITS CYLINDERS !!!!
Nothing to be very proud of, but it seems that I am the first to have a failing ECU... It is what is behind the pin 52, which drives the injector for cylinder 4, that is faulty... Any ideas on how to have it repaired ?
That's it for the good news, 'cause we still have the Diag light that keeps coming back after clearing the errors with the Modas. Maybe due to the fact that we do not have recalibrated the damn throttle thing...
More to come...

Throttle calibrated, error identified (stupid me : Gear poti needed to be calibrated in the ECU ) and corrected !
Ready for Ledenon next week !!! Yeah !

Great to hear you are pleased Cedric.. happy to help! In the last 12 years since they have been running that ECU I have seen 3 die and 2 have either coil or injector driver issues.... I havent had any luck wiht any one repairing.. I did a project with Bosch Motorsport and their techs said the type of construction that they use in the ecu is in operable.. disposable technology is the name of the game now....

Kiwidave is the best.
He is individually a key to myself and others being able to drive today. I am so glad he was able to help you as he's done for myself and many prior.
David,
Lyb!

Many thanks again Dave. If they are disposable, it seem that I will need another one for the other future engine that will fit in the R...
Sad world, buy, use, trash...
